The NPA-Helpline takes a loan portfolio based on segment, industry or geographical location from the Bank, Financial Institution, NBFC or an Assets Reconstruction Company  and starts working on resolution and recovery of the same, employing  its own team of lawyers, values, property consultants, detectives and enforcement agents under close supervision of a seasoned Banker expert in hard recovery actions.  In this way the NPA-Helpline takes  a total ownership of the assigned  portfolio of NPA Accounts.

The 'NPA-Helpline'  works on the strategies to get the stays, if any, got  vacated from the courts, to find out the incidences of abuse of loan money, the evidence for willful default and the possibilities for criminal trial in the case, all this to pressurize the defaulters to cooperate the Bank and to settle the account.  In those properties, where there is hitch in selling at auction due to any reason whatsoever it may be, the pave the way for the needful action to be completed.

In fact the clever borrowers are indulged in multiple litigation and the Banks have their own systems.  They employ the generalized staff on recovery, never see the aptitude or interest of the Officers and at times the officers remain over burdened with collection and presentation of statistical information or other sort of paper work which hinders the process of recovery.

By outsourcing some portfolios the efficiency of Banks executive staff can too be enhanced, as they can concentrate in the work that they are competent to handle without risk.

In turn for its Portfolio services, the Banks/Lending institutions pay some fixed monthly amount to meet the administrative & out of pocket expenses.  Upon recovery / results the NPA-Helpline gets a fixed percentage of commission.  The expenses towards other professional services like Lawyers, Values, Detectives, Forensic Auditors etc. are borne by the Banks.

So this is a win-win situation.  Banks will reduce their stressed assets by registering increase in recovery of NPA and written off accounts, while the officers will feel relaxed to concentrate on the tasks in hand.  The NPA-Helpline will also share a little portion in the success of the Banks at NPA portfolio.
